For the first half of the 20th century, Rockford, Illinois was known as one of the top manufacturing cities in the United States. The Animcorp brand was conceived to honor this history.
Animation has a lot in common with manufacturing; they both employ highly skilled craftspeople laboring to produce quality products. While manufacturing and export of goods is on the wane in the United States, the "manufacturing" of culture (in the form of film, animation, music, fashion, etc.) as well as the export of ideas is on the rise. These are commodities which cannot be prototyped overnight in Asia, but only created by people immersed in the preferences and ideals of American society.
Animcorp seeks to draw upon Rockford's tradition of manufacturing excellence and apply it to the manufacture and export of moving ideas.
